1954 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn
1954 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn finished in
original Midnight Blue with Grey hide interior. Being a late example of
the 760 Silver Dawns built by Rolls-Royce, this Silver Dawn has the far
superior big bore 4.5 litre high compression engine with Zenith
carburettor and twin exhaust, these later modifications, coupled with the
smooth automatic gearbox made the Silver Dawn a fantastic long distance
tourer. Late cars also benefited from some cosmetic changes including a
larger boot and Bentley R-Type style dashboard fascia. This Stunning
example is possibly the finest on the market today, everything is present
and correct, all small and large tools even down to the small oil can
under the bonnet. We have carried out a thorough inspection of the vehicle
and believe the indicated mileage of 60,000 to be correct. The underside
of the car is solid, totally original and has never had any welding or
repairs, it retains its leather spring gators and wing mounts.
The
body and paintwork are exceptional, so too is the interior which retains
much of its originality. To drive the car is faultless; it has just
undergone an engine overhaul in our workshops and runs silently. In every
way this is a truly outstanding Silver Dawn in the most desirable
specification. Not to be missed.
