1992 Bentley Turbo R
1992 Bentley Turbo R finished in Brewster Green with Spruce hide interior,
covered 79,000 miles with full service history.
Ordered new in October 1991 via
Bentley agents, P&A Wood, to the exact specification of the first owner Mr
M.Panter. The original invoice is present in the history file and
details the exact specification and options, these include; rear Bentley
badges, telephone to be fitted in the passenger armrest and aerial to the
roof, Walnut veneered picnic tables, rear seat opening armrest, 3 extra
grab handles to be trimmed in Spruce leather, separate Alpine CD player
and Radio / cassette player, electric sun roof with hide covering,
specially veneered wooden cappings, Bentley mascot to grille and
contrasting beige headlining. Much to the behest of Mr Panter, the car,
with its special options took 7 months to complete and was given its
delivery pass out on the 29th April 1992, it was registered 3
days later to Mr Panter with his personal registration number ‘3 MAP’. Mr
Panter kept his Bentley for 10 years, during his ownership the car was
maintained and service by P&A Wood. Since 2002 the car has just 4 keepers
and has always been maintained to an extremely high standard by both
Bentley main agents and marque specialists. The occupying history file
carefully details the car entire life with letters to and from
Rolls-Royce, reams of invoices, past MOT test certificates and the
original leather handbook folder which contains the stamped service book.
Offered in outstanding condition throughout, this very handsome Turbo R
still retains its original specification, particularly pleasing and rare
is the factory fitted electric sunroof and the highly figured Walnut with
cross banded edges. On the road the car performs faultlessly, as one would
expect given its very careful maintenance. If one is looking for a Turbo R
of the pre Zytec engine Turbo R, this example must surely be considered.
