1922 Morris Bullnose Cowley 2 Seat Tourer With Dickie
1922 Morris Cowley BB6355 was registered in
November 1922 and sold new to a family in Newcastle for the princely sum
of £220, they kept the car until 1937. The old log book shows that in 1937
she was taxed for 6 months in Sussex, a long journey on winding roads of
the 1930’s! In 1938 the car was
sold to Mr George Stewart of The Raw Farm, Elsdon, Northumberland. The car
remained on the farm throughout the war year years. Post war the car has
had just 3 owners, the first until 1985 and the second, Mr
Campbell-Howard, from 1985 until 2018. Under Mr Campbell-Howard tenure the
little Bullnose was used regularly for holidays to Austria, France and
Switzerland and was also a regular at club rallies and shows not to
mention being used to teach his daughter to drive! Throughout their
ownership the car was kept in fine mechanical fettle and is still a joy to
drive. Retaining some wonderful period features including bench style
dickie seat, wooden framed hood and all weather side screens. Currently in
our workshops being completely re wired and serviced the Bullnose will
soon be ready for the next chapter in its long and active life. More
photographs to follow.
