1953 Bentley R Type Manual Saloon by James Young finished in Midnight Blue over silver with Blue hide interior. An extremely fine and rare example coming to the market from a 55 year ownership and having had only 4 owners from new! During the last ownership the car was subject to a restoration to an extremely high standard including a full engine rebuild. Inside there is beautifully soft Blue hide with Dark Blue carpets and particularly fine burr walnut cabinet work with some charming features. The driving experience is also enhanced by a full length sunroof which when open gives the occupants a real feeling of open top motoring. Offered with an impressive history file containing invoices for works carried out, driver’s handbook, service folder and build records. Overall this is a beautiful example of an extremely rare coach built R-Type presented in first class condition throughout.
